We had the best day of fishing. I have been out on many fishing charters in search of the "Marlin" and this ranks the BEST. I would highly recommend the boat and the crew -- Jose and Christian. The boat was very clean and well equipped. Jose and Christian worked as a great Team and I will be going out with them when ever I visit Puerto Vallerta. Once we returned to the dock everyone there was very helpful and pleasant. Great group of guys to be around.

Captain Scoobie and his first mate Toby, took us out on a 12 hour excursion on his 29' Super Panga and we had the time of our life!! We caught a 123" black Marlin, small shark, and Mahi Mahi. Not only was the fishing a great time, but the crew was a ton of fun! We would highly recommend this captain and company to any and all!!
The Super Panga boats are the most economic way to get out to the Puerto Vallarta fishing grounds and not brake the bank. Billfish Charters in Puerto Vallarta
The Puerto Vallarta Billfish Family conists of 4 different species Sailfish, and Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin. all great Billfish to catch and all will put on show leaping out of the water while you reel them in. The Biggest of the Billfish is the Blue Marlin that can weigh over a 1,000 lbs though I have seen a few Granders here and bunch of blues over 7-800 lbs but the average Blue Marlin weight in Puerto Vallarta is 300-500 lbs. fishing ground is a summer home for these beasts the average Black Marlin size in PuertoVallarta fishing waters is 200-500 lbs, the biggest Marlin I've seen was the Blue on our home page 1155
lbs. The Tournament Record was broken by our Captain, Steve Torres in 2007 July's Tuna and Marlin Tournament held in
La Cruz Marina in Nayarit the new record for banderas bay was set 322 kilos

Big Marlins love warm water between 80-87 degrees in the middle of the ocean this is what makes Puerto Vallarta such a
great feeding ground there are 2 hot spots for Marlin 36 miles from the Marina Vallarta a rock named Corbetena, and 50
miles offshore is the Bank these are the 2 places where all the bigger Puerto Vallarta Sportfish are caught. The Bank or El
Banco is basically huge under water island where the seas can go from 1,000 to 200 ft in seconds. PV Sportfishing
encourages and supports catch and release with all Billfish We do fish Marlin tournaments that you can see from all the Marlin
photos but on regular day's other then Marlin tournaments captain Steve catches and releases 90% of the Billfish. Puerto
Vallarta fishing is blessed as 1 of the best Marlin fishing grounds in the world and We want to keep it that way.
We fish for Marlin with live bait Bonita's Skip Jacks, other types of tuna and BB lures, trolling with 6 lines and 2 to 4
teasers.Tiburon Reels equipped with Diamond line, Flouro Carbon leader, and Mustad hooks, Striped Marlin fishing

between 50-130 lbs the best time of the year to catch these these Game fish in PV is normally January though

Marlin We find the best tactics have been trolling with live bait or you can also catch striped Marlin trolling with
lures. Striped Marlin have a blue sail and as you can see from photo below get there name from the Stripes on
thier side They sometimes will put on a great show jumping in and out of the water while you reel them in as you

Sailfish in Puerto Vallarta average size is 40-120 lbs The Pacific Sailfish is normally caught offshore at Corbetena or El banco and also fishing off the point of Banderas Bay Sailfish is the most consistent Billfish bite you will find in Puerto Vallarta and also one of the best Billfish to start out on they put on a great show but are not as strong as the bigger Marlins so you wont kill yourself trying to reeling the fish into the boat.
We did a 12 hour charter with Capt Victor and Ramon and had the best day. I told them I wanted to catch big fish and they worked really hard to make sure that happened. We landed a VERY nice tuna and really enjoyed our day on the boat. From the communication leading up to the trip to the crew and the boat we couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend PV Sportfishing.

I have been out on many many charters all
over North America for all kinds of fish,
and lets first take catching fish out of the
equation, service, hard work and friendly
fun atmosphere is what you will find on
spotlessly clean boats is what you can
expect. Fish, (I never will blame a charter
for poor fishing, if you fished enough I
needn't explain) With that said, after 8
trips over 2 years With PV Sportfishing
and We have caught fish! Sailfish, wahoo,
Dorado (one that was 63 inches) Marlin,
(one was 600 lbs, mine :), these guys
NEVER stop working to put you on the fish
and bend that rod. This is now an annual
trip for me.
