Puerto Vallarta fishing review Tuna, Marlin, and Dorado

Classic Puerto Vallarta fishing review Tuna, Marlin, and Dorado

Fishing Report by Larry Haynes
We just returned from our annual trip to Puerto Vallarta, and fished with Captain Steve with outstanding results. This year's trip was no different than the past, when it comes to the phenomenal  expertise of the captain , the boat itself, and the brand new, custom built, Calstar Rods, and Tiburon SST reels - IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER!!! Captain Steve put us on fish, even though the weather conditions weren't favorable to catching fish - we caught fish when so many others came back empty handed. We caught a number of  YellowFin Tunas and a hand full of bull Dorados during our fishing adventure. One of the Yellowfin Tuna's was my wife's personal best of about 65 lbs. We also had a shot at catching a very large Black Marlin. It looked to be about 600 lbs. Unfortunately, it missed the hook and wrapped the leader around it's bill. Guess you can figure out who won that battle. Though we missed that big fish, I still felt good because I know how few boats can raise a fish like that and I know that we were the only boat that raised a Marlin of that caliber in some time. We will get him next time! Our fishing experience with Capt Steve has been so outstanding, that we are already looking at next year's dates. read more reviews

Puerto Vallarta fishing review with PV Sportfishing

Puerto Vallarta fishing review
Booked the Super Panga for four days this time around.Needless to say the fishing and experience was great. Caught fish every day due to cesar and his mate jose hard work. The two of them never rested. We caught jack, rooster, mani, tuna, mackerel, needle fish skip jack. Tuna ranged from 170 to 70 lbs. The great thing about going fishing with these guys is that they love to fish, and love to see you catch fish. If you have a passion for fishing and want a captain that has that same passion I highly recommend PV Sport fishing and Cesar!
