Captain Cesar catches a 231 lb Tuna day 1 of the tournament
Captain Cesar Perez catches a 231 lb Tuna day 1 of the 12th annual Tuna and Marlin tournament yesterday July 27 2018. We will see what the crews bring in today but I do not think anyone will catch a Tuna bigger then this one.

12th Annual Tuna and Marlin Tournament 26-28
The 12th Annual Tuna and Marlin Tournaments will begin tomorrow the 26th and will be held at Paradise village in Nuevo Vallarta. 1st place Marlin prize is a new car, and 1st place Yellowfin Tuna is $70,000 pesos. Good Luck to all the anglers this year.

Puerto Vallarta fishing report Marlin and Tuna July 2018.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report July 2018 The offshore fishing grounds are heating up with Billfish. We have been catching Blue and Black Marlin and Sailfish close to Corbetena along with 2 of the best eating fish Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna. The Tuna and the Dorado are only averaging 10-25 lbs but its still always great to find any sized Tuna on a day trip without going 100 + miles offshore. There has also been a few small Mahi/ Dorado biting off the point of Punta de MIta. Inside Banderas bay We have been catching Jack Crevalle, Skip Jacks, small Dorado, Spanish Mackerel and even a few small Roosterfish.
