Puerto Vallarta fishing Report November 2013

Puerto Vallarta fishing Report November 2013
Captain Steve Torres picked us up at the Paradise Village Dock  and what a boat! The 35ft. Cabo was even better
that I had expected. The crew had a full lineup of Calstars and Tiburons as well as every tool, lure, and accessory
you could possibly think of. The head was super clean with a nice shower and the A/C was awesome! We headed
out at about 10 knots to the outer banks. In the morning we had arrived and picked up a nice wahoo and dorado
right off the bat. Within a half hour we say what looked like dolphins in the distance. As we approached it became
clear that they were tuna..Big Tuna. We saw 100 to 200lber's jumping completely out of the water and putting on a
show that would impress even the most seasoned angler. We were able to pick up two both in the 150 class. My
fish was extra mean and kicked my ass on 80lb and a HX raptor. Around 2 hours later I finally had the fish..He had
teased me by staying around 15 feet down, just out of gaff range for the last 15 minutes. We were unfortunately not
able to find the school again after the long fight but we did find some other schools that just didn't want to play. It
appeared that they were feeding on very small bait that was everywhere. We made squid that night and fished hard
the second day. Day two was much slower but Steve Torres managed to put us on a double Blue Marlin hookup!
Both fish fought hard and came up dead. I couldn't believe how much fight was in these marlin..I am used to
strippers but the bigger blues can put the hurts on you. see more info at www.puertovallartafish.com

Puerto Vallarta Marlin fishing, every big anglers dream is to encounter and catch a huge Black Marlin

PuertoVallarta fishing waters is 200-500 lbs, the biggest Marlin I've seen was the Blue on our home page

and Marlin Tournament held in La Cruz Marina in Nayarit the new record for banderas bay was
 set 322 kilos 708 lbs.
Check our latest 1st place Marlin video's
Big Marlins love warm water between 80-87 degrees in the middle of the ocean this is what makes
Puerto Vallarta such a great feeding ground there are 2 hot spots for Marlin 36 miles from the
Marina Vallarta a rock named Corbetena, and 50 miles offshore is the Bank these are the 2 places
where all the bigger Puerto Vallarta Sportfish are caught.  The Bank or El Banco is basically huge
under water island where the seas can go from 1,000 to 200 ft in seconds. PV Sportfishing
encourages and supports catch and release with all Billfish We do fish Marlin tournaments that
you can see from all the Marlin photos but on regular day's other then Marlin tournaments captain
Steve catches and releases 90% of the Billfish.
Puerto Vallarta fishing is blessed as 1 of the best
Marlin fishing grounds in the world and We want to keep it that way.

We fish for Marlin with live bait Bonita's Skip Jacks, other types of tuna and BB lures, trolling with

Puerto Vallarta Dorado fishing

Puerto Vallarta fishing Dorado You can catch Dorado all year in around in Puerto Vallarta but are most plentiful in the hotter months of the year. You can fish for Dorado with live bait, lures, or jigs trolling and casting. In Summer months you can normally find smaller Dorado inside Bandera's bay but as the weather cools down you need to get outside the bay either to El Morro, la Corbetena or el banco wherever the hotter bite is. If you want to catch bigger Dorado over 20 lbs you typically always need to go offshore to La Corbetena or el Banco. Puerto Vallarta Dorado average size offshore is 20-50 lbs inshore 5-15 lbs. Check out our Puerto Vallarta fishing reports to see where the Dorado will be biting on your fishing trip to Puerto Vallarta Mexico

1st place in Marlin and Tuna Tournament In Puerto Vallarta Mexico August 2013

1st place Marlin at the 7th international Marlin and Tuna
tournament in Puerto Vallarta Mexico August 2013We had a great time this last weekend even though no one caught any Tuna or Dorado
I think every boat caught a Marlin at El Banco.Day 1 We departed from paradise village
at 7am and reached the bank a little after 9am. The team caught live bait and We started
trolling the fishing was very slow for us all day just a small Sailfish nibble in the morning
but then a little after 3pm We had our first Marlin strike then another and just like that We
had a double hook up.  But since it was already after 3 pm and We needed to be back at
the dock by 6 pm We did not have time to tangle with both so Freddy let his go and the crew
started Reeling in his big  Blue 1 hour 10 minutes later the Blue Marlin was on the boat and
We were racing back  hoping to make the 50 + mile ride back before 6pm Well captain Steve
did it again and We were back at the dock with 3 minutes to spare. The Marlin weighed in at
578 lbs taking 1st place at this years Annual Marlin and Tuna Tournament.

The inshore and offshore bite has picked up this last week We even caught a few Yellowfin tuna, and Sailfish inshore on the south side of the bay which does not happen very often. The most consistent bite inshore has been Bonitos and Jack Crevalle. La Corbetena is producing a mixed batch of game fish Big Dorado, Grouper and Sailfish. The big Yellowfin Tuna are still biting 80-110 miles offshore and been biting live goggle eyes and skip jack baits drifting and trolling slow speeds. The Dorado have been biting inshore and offshore.

So if you want to catch Yellowfin Tuna right now a overnight charter is necessary this time of the year. Puerto Vallarta fishing Report April/24/13 This last week the weather has been heating up and so has the water temps inside and outside of Banderas bay.The Largest fish in
PV right now is Yellowfin Tuna 150-250 lbs and there boiling but over 80 miles offshore so you need a overnight trip to catch these monsters but if your dream is to catch a big Yellowfin Tuna it is definitely worth the time. Inside the bay We have been catching Jack Crevalle, bonito's and smaller Pargo for more info please contact us.
